Frequently Asked Questions
Can you fix a leaking shower without removing the tiles?
Often yes. If the waterproofing membrane is still intact and the problem is failed grout or silicone, we can strip and re-grout with epoxy and reseal, which avoids a full strip-out. If the membrane itself has failed, the tiles need to come up so we can re-waterproof properly, and we’ll tell you honestly which applies.
Who pays for balcony waterproofing in a Mosman strata building?
It depends on the strata plan and by-laws. The waterproofing membrane is often common property (owners corporation), while surface tiles and grout are usually the lot owner’s. Because the lines blur, a proper leak investigation to establish the source is the sensible first step, and we can carry out compliant remedial work either way.
Do you do tiling in heritage and Federation homes?
Yes. We salvage and reset original tiles where possible, source matched replacements, and use bedding appropriate to period fabric, keeping the work in line with conservation area and heritage requirements.
How long does a bathroom retile take?
Most standard bathrooms run around 2 to 3 weeks depending on size, finishes and waterproofing curing time. We give a clear timeline with your quote.
Do you provide free quotes?
