Frequently Asked Questions
Do you lay natural stone and large-format tiles? Yes, and we seal stone correctly for where it is going. A lot of tiling in these suburbs is premium stone and large-format across big floors, which needs laying and preparing properly to last.
Why do floors crack in the Hills? The Hills sits on reactive shale clay that swells and shrinks with the seasons, which cracks tiles laid straight onto the slab. We use crack isolation membranes and movement joints, and check the slab before relaying.
Do you tile sloping blocks and split-level homes? Yes. Many Castle Hill, Glenhaven and Dural homes step across sloping blocks, and we set out and re-screed across the level changes so tiles sit flat.
Can you fix a leaking shower without removing all the tiles? Sometimes. If the membrane is sound and the issue is failed grout or silicone, we can re-grout and reseal. If the waterproofing has failed, the tiles need to come up to redo it properly.
